Brian Duncan is the firm's senior commercial lawyer, former managing partner and one of the firm's senior partners. Brian has been providing legal advice to the Fraser Valley business community since the late 1970s.
A business lawyer practising all aspects of company law, Brian's practice focuses on corporate and commercial law, real estate law, and the issues faced by small and medium-sized businesses and enterprises located in Surrey and the Fraser Valley. As counsel, Brian advises clients on a wide range of company law matters, including those involving partnership agreements, share ownership agreements, acquisitions and sales, amalgamations and corporate re-organizations, property development, commercial leasing and tax-driven transactions. He drafts and negotiates contracts and advises on the legal aspects of the daily operations of many of his client's business activities.
Brian has particular experience acting on behalf of family-owned enterprises, ranging from counseling on general corporate matters to succession planning.
In addition to his work at the firm, Brian has lectured on a variety of topics to groups at the Public Legal Education Society, Pacific Legal Technology Conference 2007, the Professional Legal Training Course, the Continuing Legal Education Society, and has given numerous talks to local business or organizations offices concerning issues of interest to business owners and their professional advisors.
