In 2007, Franco Cabanos worked as a summer student with HDAS. After receiving his law degree from the University of Manitoba, he returned as an articled student. Franco joined HDAS as an associate after he was called to the British Columbia Bar in 2009.

He has drafted submissions for administrative tribunals and has worked on several matters in both the Provincial and Supreme Court levels.
