Christine K. Purewal received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminology from Simon Fraser University, in B.C. Christine then moved to Kamloops where she attended Thompson Rivers University and obtained her Juris Doctor degree. Throughout her time at Thompson Rivers University, Christine volunteered with the South Asian Law Students’ Association and Law Students’ Legal Advice Program. She continues to act as a mentor to current law students in the South Asian community.
Christine returned to the Lower Mainland following completion of her Juris Doctor degree and articled in the area of criminal defence. During this time, Christine gained valuable experience in the Provincial Court of British Columbia and Supreme Court of British Columbia, advocating for individuals in particularly difficult circumstances. Following completion of her articles, Christine joined MTC Law as an Associate Lawyer. She currently practices in the area of civil litigation, specifically insurance defence.
Christine joined the team of Hamilton Duncan in April 2019 as a Defence Litigator for ICBC Insurance Claims.
Christine was born in Surrey, British Columbia. She has been a resident of Surrey since she was born and prides herself on the roots she has built here. In her spare time, Christine enjoys hiking, travelling, exploring coffee shops and devouring pastries.
