Dorothy Chu is a commercial real estate and corporate commercial lawyer. She works with a wide variety of clients for their business and personal needs and takes the time to explain the law in an easy to understand way.
Dorothy started working in residential real estate as an articling student, and has continued to develop her practice in commercial real estate development and general business law. She has worked with a range of real estate clients from first time developers to high-rise developments, and her business clients also span a wide variety of industries.
Dorothy joined Hamilton Duncan in 2020 as an associate after spending the formative years of her career at a well-regarded real estate law firm. Originally from Winnipeg, she relocated to Vancouver after law school for the warmer winters.

- Represented over 50 commercial business sales or acquisitions for small and mid-sized businesses located in the Lower Mainland
- Acted as lead counsel for Canadian Motion Picture Park, the largest film and television production complex in Burnaby BC, on a significant long-term lease arrangement with Netflix of their new production hub
