Janta Steele

Biography

Janta Steele earned a Bachelor of Business Administration from Okanagan College and the University of British Columbia. After graduating, she completed her Bachelor of Laws degree (LLB) at Queen Mary, University of London, UK.

Having completed her education, Janta was accepted into a business graduate program at British Sugar in Peterborough, UK, where she gained experience in logistics, demand planning and sales. She then returned to Kelowna and became a paralegal in a boutique civil litigation firm.

In 2013, Janta accepted an opportunity to work in government and politics as a Legislative Assistant and Research Officer in the Victoria Legislature. She relocated in August 2016 to work in Vancouver as Senior Executive Assistant in the Deputy Minister’s office of the Ministry of Small Business, Red Tape Reduction and Liquor Reform. Prior to joining Hamilton Duncan, Janta held the position of Trade & Technology Secretariat Coordinator in the Ministry of Jobs, Trade & Technology.

Janta looks forward to investing in the community of Surrey, where she lives with her husband. Her hobbies include refereeing basketball and volleyball, salsa dancing, and training her dog. Recently, she has served on the board of several societies and organizations, enjoying the opportunity to give back to her community
