Maral Fadaeian

Biography

Maral’s practice centres in the areas of insurance defence and civil litigation. Before joining Hamilton Duncan, Maral had a diverse litigation practice covering areas of occupiers’ liability, plaintiff personal injury, WorkSafe BC matters, and commercial and civil disputes. Maral also worked as in-house counsel with the Insurance Corporation of British Columbia (ICBC) for five years. Most recently, she was a contract PLTC instructor for the Law Society of British Columbia.

Before becoming a lawyer, Maral was a public legal educator. She planned, developed, and facilitated various training workshops, helping front-line workers in non-profit organizations find legal referral solutions for their clients.

Committed to conserving her client’s resources, Maral focuses on resolving disputes using her proven experience in mediation, negotiation, and other dispute resolution mechanisms to resolve a matter effectively and efficiently. She will also engage in trial when necessary and has appeared in the Provincial Court and Supreme Court of British Columbia and various administrative tribunals.

Outside of work, Maral has been an avid martial artist for 20 years and enjoys spending time with her family, baking, reading, singing, and playing musical instruments.

Maral is fluent in Farsi, Dari, and conversant in French.
